Terms of Service
These terms set expectations for using Career in Coffee as a candidate, employer, or site visitor during public beta. They are draft operational terms and should be legally reviewed before a wider commercial launch.
By creating an account, posting a job, applying for a role, or otherwise using the service, you agree to follow these terms and the Privacy Policy.
Beta service
Career in Coffee is a public-beta recruitment marketplace for coffee and hospitality roles. Features may change, workflows may be improved, and access may occasionally be interrupted while the service is tested and developed.
Candidate responsibilities
Candidates must provide accurate account, profile, CV, right-to-work, and application information. Do not upload unlawful, misleading, discriminatory, confidential, malicious, or infringing content.
Employer responsibilities
Employers are responsible for accurate adverts, lawful and fair recruitment, non-discriminatory wording, realistic pay and conditions, prompt applicant communication, and proper use of candidate data.
Platform safety
We may review, edit, unpublish, or remove content, suspend accounts, restrict access, or preserve records where needed to protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law, or keep the service secure.
Who can use the service
You must be able to form a binding agreement and use the service lawfully. If you use Career in Coffee for an employer, you confirm that you are authorised to act for that business. We may refuse, suspend, or close accounts where identity, authority, safety, or misuse concerns arise.
Candidate terms
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile, CV, work history, qualifications, availability, right-to-work responses, and application content.
- Applying through Career in Coffee does not guarantee an interview, job offer, response from an employer, or particular employment terms.
- You should carry out your own checks before accepting a role or sharing sensitive information outside the platform.
- You must not use the service to send spam, abusive messages, false applications, or content that infringes another person's rights.
Employer terms
- Job posting is free during the initial beta unless we agree separate written terms with you.
- You must have authority to post on behalf of the employer or hiring business named in the advert.
- You must comply with employment, equality, immigration, data protection, advertising, and health and safety laws that apply to your recruitment activity.
- You must only use candidate data for legitimate recruitment connected to the relevant application or role.
- You are responsible for your hiring decisions, interviews, contracts, employment checks, and candidate communications.
Acceptable use
You must not use Career in Coffee for:
- posting fake, misleading, discriminatory, unsafe, unpaid, or unlawful job adverts;
- collecting candidate data for purposes unrelated to genuine recruitment;
- uploading viruses, malicious files, scraped data, or content you do not have permission to use;
- harassing users, impersonating others, bypassing security controls, or probing the service without permission;
- using automated scraping, bulk extraction, or resale of profiles, adverts, or application data.
Content and permissions
You keep ownership of content you upload or submit. You give Career in Coffee permission to host, copy, display, process, and share that content as needed to operate the service, show public adverts and company profiles, process applications, provide support, and secure the platform.
No recruitment or employment guarantee
Career in Coffee provides a marketplace and workflow tools. We do not guarantee applicant quality, employer suitability, interviews, job offers, employment contracts, reference checks, background checks, right-to-work outcomes, or continuous availability of the service.
Data and confidentiality
Use of the service is also governed by the Privacy Policy. Employers must treat candidate data as confidential recruitment information and must not share, sell, or reuse it for unrelated purposes. Candidates should avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information unless it is genuinely needed for an application.
Fees and beta changes
Employer job posting is free during the initial beta unless separate written terms are agreed. If paid plans, promoted listings, subscriptions, or success fees are introduced later, those commercial terms should be shown before they apply. We may change, pause, or withdraw beta features as the service develops.
Suspension, deletion, and moderation
We may remove content, unpublish adverts, reject registrations, suspend or close accounts, preserve records, or contact affected users where we reasonably believe the service is being misused, these terms are breached, data is at risk, or action is needed for legal, safety, or operational reasons. You can request account deletion through account tools where available or by contacting us.
Liability
We aim to run Career in Coffee with reasonable care, but the beta service is provided as available and may contain bugs or interruptions. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or employment decisions made by employers or candidates. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes and contact
These terms may be updated as the beta develops. Material changes should be communicated through the site or account email where practical. For questions, contact support@careerincoffee.com.
