Cafe manager

Are you an experienced hospitality professional who loves great coffee, great service, and building a strong team?

We’re looking for a confident and hands-on Café Manager to lead the day-to-day running of Hot Numbers. You’ll be responsible for creating a welcoming customer experience, supporting and developing the team, and making sure the café runs smoothly, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead the Team
  Support, motivate, and develop the café team, creating a positive working environment where everyone can perform at their best.

• Deliver Great Customer Experiences
  Lead by example on the floor, making sure every customer receives friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service.

• Manage Day-to-Day Operations
  Oversee the smooth running of the café, including opening and closing procedures, team organisation, stock, cleanliness, and service standards.

• Maintain Quality & Standards
  Ensure our coffee, food, service, and overall café experience consistently meet the standards Hot Numbers is known for.

• Train & Develop
  Support team members with ongoing training, feedback, and development, helping them grow in confidence and ability.

• Drive Performance
  Take ownership of daily performance, manage costs responsibly, reduce waste, and identify opportunities to improve the way the café operates.

• Create a Positive Culture
  Build a supportive, professional, and enjoyable working environment with clear communication and strong teamwork.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous management or supervisory experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment

• Strong leadership and people-management skills

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• A genuine interest in speciality coffee and hospitality

• Confidence working in a busy, fast-paced environment

• Strong organisation and attention to detail

• A proactive, practical approach to problem-solving

• Experience with stock management, rotas, and day-to-day café operations

• The ability to lead from the front and support the team during busy service

The Details

• From 35 hours per week

• Weekend availability required

• Permanent position

• Competitive hourly rate
